Wow, am I actually blogging right now?
You know, I always like the idea of actually using my tumblr as a blog whenever I make one, but I never get around to it. I guess it’s not that I don’t have time so much as I don’t think to make time, but whatever. Now I’m blogging, so shut up. :3
My problem is that I have all these things I want to write about but then I get distracted by something else and I have to research it. Then by the time I realize I haven’t written anything yet, I’ve already spent an hour in the weird part of youtube.
So now I’m actually going to force myself to sit here and write this time. I just closed all the other tabs and everything.
Today I have rehearsal and dress rehearsal all day from 12pm to night. I always love the week or so just before the show because there’s always so much energy. It’s crunch time and you can feel it because everyone (well, mostly everyone) is more focused and creative even. Characters are really starting to flesh out and it’s so nice being a part of the process. It’s also a sad time though because crunch time means it’s almost over.
The end of a show is always sad. When you’re in a show it consumes so much of your time and thoughts that when it’s suddenly gone it’s kind of like ‘Oh right, I have a life too. Time to fill my existence with things I originally liked.”
I do this thing when I’m in shows where I start to look up and discover things related to the show that I’m in or the period to better understand the time, and then usually I find something from the time or subject-related that I love and then I LOVE THAT THING INTENSELY. This time it’s 1920’s music, it’s pretty much all I’ve listened to in the past month and a half (mostly the Boardwalk Empire soundtrack actually. WATCH IT. OH, MY GOD.) besides Marina and the Diamonds obviously.
So I fall in love with something right, and then when the show is done, I can’t do that thing anymore. Well, sometimes I do, but sometimes it’s too nostalgic and I get upset that the show is over when I relate the thing again so I tend to avoid it. #TEESHPROBLEMS
I guess in conclusion, I better start looking for new music soon! If you have suggestions, I’d love ‘em. :3
So, I have to go pack a couple things (moving!!! post about it soon?) and get all dolled up for rehearsal. ‘Till I ever get a chance to write again~
yours,
teesh <3
